With the turn of the calendar brings the turn of the season. For the third year, the Kiwanis Club of Lake Bluff & Lake Forest is gearing up for this year’s Pond Hockey Tournament.

A 4-on-4 Pond Hockey Tournament will be held on Super Bowl Saturday, February 12th at Artesian Park, Lake Bluff. The ice-skating rink will be transformed into three smaller hockey rinks allowing three games to be played simultaneously. The day’s activities begin at 9am, playing until 4’ish. Kiwanis expects eight teams to compete for the coveted “Golden Shovel” award.

So, mark your calendars, dress warmly, grab a chair, bring some friends and a fire-pit (wood will be provided) while you cheer on the players. Kiwanis members will be serving a hot dog lunch from 11am to 1pm. Hot chocolate served throughout the day. Alternate location will be Hot Shot Ice Arena on Highway 41 in Lake Bluff.
